NEW EVOLUTION AQUA K+ADVANCED FILTER 36

ADVANCED PRESSURE FILTERS FOR PONDS USING K+MEDIA

Introducing Evolution Aqua's latest innovation in pond filtration technology, the  K+Advanced Filter 36. Manufactured by Evolution Aqua in the UK, this new range of pressure filters have been specifically designed to use Evolution Aqua’s own filtration media, K+Media, to deliver exceptional water clarity and to be economical to run.

MANUFACTURED TO LAST

Manufactured in the UK by Evolution Aqua, the K+Advanced Filter 36 is produced using rotational moulding process; the body is made of a single homogenous material meaning there is no joint line, the wall thickness is consistent throughout, there are no weak points, and the feet are built-in as part of the body – no skirt. This means that the K+Advanced Filters are extremely durable and has the same attractive granite grey colour finish as the other filters in the Evolution Aqua family.

BEST IN CLASS FILTRATION MEDIA

The benefits of using K+Media have been well documented since its launch in 2019, including its ability to filter particles down to one micron. The design and profile of the media helps to improve flow, its vast protected surface area of 1,025m2 per m3, or the total area of 5 x tennis courts, maintains stable bio-films and its unique manufacturing process where minerals and enzymes are added during the extrusion process, ensure K+Media matures faster than any other type of filter media. Evolution Aqua’s filter media has also been independently tested to verify its performance by IFTS and Cranfield University.

PEACE OF MIND

Because Evolution Aqua are in control of the manufacturing process they can put the filters through rigorous testing and quality control checks before leaving the factory. K+Advanced Filters are rated to a maximum working pressure of 1.5 bar, however they have been factory tested up to 2.5 bar and have passed a 10,000 cycle pressure test.

ECONOMICAL TO RUN

To optimise performance, there are unique double laterals inside the filter that help to improve flow through the bed of K+Media, that is supplied with every filter. This laminar flow, coupled with the use of K+Media reduces back pressure on the circulating pump, ultimately making K+Advanced Filters one of the most economical filters to run.

They are simple to install and can be used as a standalone filter or as part of a larger filtration system with a Nexus+ or on a skimmer line. The K+Advanced Filters are incredibly easy to clean and are supplied with K+Media, pipework, air blower and multiport valve.

The K+Advanced Filters have four sizes in the range, 20”, 24”, 30” and 36” covering all sizes of ponds up to 91,000 litres (20,000 gallons). The 20” and 24” are available now, the 30” and 36”will be available mid October.

KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS
  •  Economical to run thanks to its unique design. The filter has been engineered to maximise pump efficiency.
  • Pre-filled with advanced K+Media - delivering mechanical and biological filtration.
  •  Easy to operate and clean, with pipework blower and multiport valve supplied.
  • One piece rotationally moulded filter body for increased product strength and integrity.
  • Built-in feet (no skirt) for additional durability with no weak points around filter.
  • Faster set up time thanks to pre-filled media and easier pipework assembly.
  • Colour of filter matches existing Evolution Aqua filters.
  • Use as a standalone filter or as part of a larger filtration system
  • Double lateral configuration to ensure laminar flow
  • Unique, engineered lateral design to optimise filtration

HOW K+ADVANCED FILTERS WORK

The water is pumped into the filter from the pond, through the multi-port valve where the internal pipework directs the water to the bottom laterals.

When the water flows upwards inside the K+Advanced Filter, dirt, debris and waste are trapped within the mass of K+Media that floats at the top of the filter. The vast protected surface area provided by K+Media also provides a home for beneficial bacteria, delivering mechanical and biological filtration.
The filtered water flows back through the laterals and pipework at the top of the filter, through the multi-port valve and back down the return line into the pond.

The Evolution Aqua K+Advanced Filter, is incredibly easy to clean by simply moving the handle on the multi-port valve into the corresponding positions to perform a backwash and rinse which flushes out the waste trapped inside.
