Waterco MultiCyclone Pre Filter - MC12
Waterco Multi Cyclone MC12 are a mechanical filter, which can be installed before your main filtration system, these filters will stop around 80% of the incoming sediment from entering your system. The particles are removed as the water enters tangentially into the multiple hydro cyclones, causing a strong centrifugal effect.
The incoming sediment is spiralled down to the clear collection chamber, where it is emptied with the loss of only 15 litres of your precious pond water. The cleaning is as simple as turning the valve.
Waterco Multi Cyclone MC12 are ideal for use on a skimmers or quarantine systems.
They are ideal for use before bead filters or trickle towers.
Multi Cyclone MC12 can be retro fitted to just about any Filter system.
The new Waterco Multi Cyclone MC12 works on a low pressure pumps, such as a Superfish pond eco 8000lph pump which uses only 80 watts approx.
Centrifugal filtration
1. Incoming water enters 16 hydro cyclones tangentially, generating a strong centrifugal effect.
2. The sediment is spun out to the hydro cyclone’s wall, and then spirals down to the sediment bowl.
3. The filtered water migrates towards the center of the hydro cyclone where the flow reverses and spirals upwards through the outlet.
4. Accumulation of sediment can be visibly monitored through the MultiCyclone’s clear sediment bowl.
5. The MultiCyclone is easily cleaned by opening the valve. Only 15 litres of water is discharged to cleanse the MultiCyclone. |
