Black Knight Wizard Fibre

Black knight Wizard Fibre

Black knight Wizard Fibre is a very fine glass fibre which has been designed specifically for mortar or concrete reinforcement. It has been in use for decades in specialised architectural and construction projects where very high performance is required to with stand sustained stresses or harsh conditions and where long service is important.

Why a concrete pond?

  • Concrete will be smooth, liners may have wrinkles
  • less vulnerable to damage from roots
  • Will not puncture as liners can
  • Low cost
  • Resists damage by animals
  • Long life expectancy

Why use Wizard Fibre?

  • Allows a much stronger mix, leading to a smoother crack-resistant finish that is safer for the fish
  • Saves money
  • Increases workability, making it easier to apply
  • Far stronger, more durable and easier to use than polypropylene alternatives
  • Dramatically reduces the likelihood of leaks developing
  • High zirconia content offers superb alkali resistance

Mix proportions:
1 - 2% fibres added to the total mix by weight.
3 parts of building sand to 1 part cement.
We recommend the use of a mortar plasticiser in the mix (available at builders' merchants) because it makes application easier.

Coverage:
A 1kg pack of Wizard Fibre can cover 8 - 18sqm at 5mm thick.

Mixing:
Typical mix proportions:
5 litres cement, 15 litres sand, 225 - 450g fibres.

Bonda Glassfibre Repair Kit

Bonda Glassfibre Repair Kit

The Bonda Glass Fibre Repair Kit is normally used to repair permanently, holes, cracks, and splits in many materials. G.R.P, metal, wood, concrete and brick.

It will also bond to some plastics but not the oily types. P.V.C. polypropylene. Nylon - Note it will dissolve polystyrene (A.B.S).

Bonda Resin only requires the addition of an easy to mix liquid hardener to be ready to use with Bonda Glass Fibre Mat. When using glass fibre always fray out the edges of any joints so that the overlaps are strong and undetectable. Glass Fibre is whitish in the pack but when the resin impregnates the glass it becomes translucent making it easier to stipple into place.

When applying the resin always use a stippling action. When applying several layers ensure that all the air is driven out of the laminate by stippling vigorously. It is preferable to apply the resin and glass fibre 'wet on wet' although it will bond perfectly to a cured laminate.

It is always best to work with small pieces until experienced.

Rein Fibres

Rein Fibres

Rein Fibre, for reinforcing render 6mm strands, coverage approx 25m square.

The incorporation of polypropylene fibres into cement render will inhibit cracking and impart greater strength.

A better mix is obtained because water migration through the mix is minimised, therefore the cure is enhanced. Improved render integrity when hardened.

A higher proportion of cement can be mixed into the render, thereby producing a waterproof finish.

Use a one part cement to two part soft sand with fibrin.

Use one Kg per cubic metre of sand/cement mix
