Bottom Drain - Standard

Bottom drains are generally accepted as a must and should be fitted to all Koi ponds under construction.

Bottom drains are designed to be placed at the deepest part of the pond for the removal of the wastes and the settlements of the koi.

The vast majority of solids will sink to the bottom of the pond in time, where ideally, they will be sucked into the bottom drain and fed to the filter systems where they will be either extracted from the water.

Bottom drains count for the vast majority of the water circulation.

Bottom drains - or the pipe work from the drain to the settlement chamber should not be too long. This is because although there is water flow through the pipe work, the heavier solids tend to settle out and can build up in the pipe work itself.

This bottom drain is designed to take 110mm pipe, The drain can be adapted to fit 4" pressure pipe by using the 4" to 110mm adapter.

The drain comes complete with a sealing ring for pond liners and a domed cover lid.

Portable Aerated Bottom Drain

Although all Koi ponds should be fitted with a bottom drain, Many people who don't fit a bottom drain always wish they had, well the retro bottom drain is your answer.

This is a portable bottom dome that sits on the floor of your pond. With no digging or intensive labour needed. Just place the weighted bottom dome in your pond and attach a pipe to an internal pump such as an Hailea Pond Pump or an external pond pump.

Portable Aerated Bottom Dome will help to improves the water circulation, remove suspended particles and debris from the bottom of your pond reducing maintenance. These Portable weighted Aerated Bottom domes are up to 30% more efficient in pulling the solid waste into the drain compared with the Portable non aerated version.

Portable Aerated Bottom Dome' s come complete with a 90 degree bend and a stepped hose tail and 5 mts of air line to fit into a 4mm or 8 mm connector.

These units will take 2" pipe work direct to the 90 degree bend.

Spindrifter Aerated Bottom Drain

Spindrifter Aerated Bottom Drains are a extremely high quality fabricated bottom drain unit

The Spindrifter Aerated Bottom Drains membrane and backing plate fit into a recess in the specially manufactured dome (provided). This recess in the dome prevents the membrane from becoming detached. This complete assembly is secured to the bottom drain by means of a stem, which also provides the air inlet.Seperate airline feed to Spindrifter aerator to ensure no obstructions in the main drain line.

This unit completely replaces the " Standard Bottom Drain."

Spindrifter Air Dome Replacement Lid

Spindrifter Replacement Air Domes will replace the standard dome on your 4" bottom drain. The unit has a wide diameter rubber insert with thousands of tiny holes to allow the air flow to come out.

The air line supply can either be inserted inside the length of the bottom drain pipe - coming out at a convenient place near to where your Air pump will be situated, or it can, be simply run across the base of the pond to your Air pump.

You will need to order the correct Air dome for your bottom drain and Air inlet hosetail as required.
43mm stem fits 1.5" waste - 48.3mm stem fits 1.5" pressure

Ideal for all types of bottom drains.

EDPM rubber membrane which can be replaced.

Suitable for up to 80 ltrs of air at 6ft depth.
